Teaching Internship
Overview
Our 2‑week Paid Teaching Internship offers second‑year university students the opportunity to gain first‑hand experience in a secondary school setting and a realistic insight into the teaching profession.
Based at Pimlico Academy, this summer programme immerses interns in day‑to‑day school life within a high‑performing, structured and knowledge‑rich environment. It is designed for undergraduates who are considering teaching or who would like meaningful experience working with young people.

About the Internship
During the internship, participants are fully embedded in the life of the school, working closely with experienced teachers and staff. Each day combines lesson observation, classroom participation and guided reflection, helping interns build confidence and understanding in a real classroom setting.
The programme provides a clear and honest view of teaching, allowing interns to explore whether this is the right career path for them while developing valuable transferable skills.
What You Will Do
As a Teaching Intern, you will:
